When will it stop?! It’s a question that so many of us ask with tears in our eyes and pain in our hearts.

When will the trials and challenges of starting or pursuing our dreams and visions let up! When will the loss of innocent lives, the suppression of human rights, the oppression of POC and of women stop? There is a prevalence and persistence of, when will joy, equality, love, and happiness abound? I’m positive as women pursuing purpose this can be a part of our daily thoughts.

Midterm elections are tomorrow. It is one of the many opportunities we have to voice the change we’ve been looking for. I say “one of many” because it doesn’t start with midterm elections. It starts with voting in your local elections. It starts with us, every day “voting”, making the decision to progress towards the positive. Choosing to be consistent. Voting to respond proactively to our circumstances. Never giving up. Voting to set “our faces like flint” determined to accomplish our purpose and our daily, weekly, monthly, year-end goals. It starts with us electing to intentionally make moves that produce monumental change in our lives and the world.

As a Christian, God instructs me to choose Grace. I am advised to pray for our leaders in authority as well as, instruction to pray for the removal of wicked ones. Of people who are divisive.

Change starts with a decision. Elect Progress. Vote for humanity. Vote for peace, equality, and unity. Vote for the end of suppression and oppression. Vote informed. Own your power and authority, Wake, Pray, VOTE!
