Hello, again my beautiful butterflies!!
Hope you all are enjoying this epic season we call winter. This time of year is when I love to sleep in so I can stay nice and warm snuggled under my covers. I find myself rushing out to work in the morning because I don’t want to detach from my bed which gives me less time for my morning skincare routine. We all know what happens when we are rushing, that’s right… something gets skipped. Let’s face it, we don’t all live on the same side of the globe so some of us are experiencing warm weather and some of us love the winter. However, we all love convenience!
Your skin care routine is not one you want to skip. Every step is important and each step enhances the other. So, skipping skincare is out of the question. How wonderful is it that we have “All-in-One” skin care products? That’s right we can take advantage of having our skin treated properly with fewer steps.
Take a step into my skincare routine. As soon as I get home at the end of my day, the first thing I do is remove my makeup and wash my face. I use Ponds cold cream to do both. It has enough oils in it to help break up the make-up, it does wonders for removal of eye makeup while cleansing my face. I have a one stop shower routine that’s all about killing two birds with one stone. A few days a week (2-3) during my morning shower I use black soap for both a face wash and a mask. I will lather it up, apply and leave it for about three minutes. In the meantime, I shower with body wash with exfoliating beads. When applying moisturizer to my skin, I mix my shea butter and essential oils together then apply. I’m a mom of eight with the three youngest at home, I’m all about “the quicker the better”!
Just a few things to keep in mind when shopping for your “All-in-One” skin care products. When looking for a face wash, make sure it contains oils to double as a makeup remover. You can even use what you have by scooping some of your face wash into a bowl (select one that has a cover for storage) then add a couple of teaspoons of coconut oil. When looking for face exfoliation there are two ways you can go. One that doubles as a face wash or one that doubles as a mask. Don’t forget to look for “All-in-One” moisturizers. There are a few options here as well, moisturizers that have sunscreen and or if you are a makeup wearer, try a tinted moisturizer which contains a sunscreen, and foundation.
Jumping over to body care, use a body wash with exfoliating beads. When shopping for your body care look for products that have a milky appearance to it and slightly thick, these are good signs of moisture.
Always keep in mind that skin care is important and it doesn’t have to be long and drawn out. Make it short and sweet by taking advantage of these “All-in-One” products.
Until next time, Love the skin you’re in!!
