I’m Akilah Abrams, a passionate hairstylist and licensed cosmetologist, actively working in the industry for 14+ years. My manifesto is to encourage you to love yourself, and know and live your truth where your hair life is concerned.

You need to know “Whats Really Good” (That’s my Bed-Stuy do or die comin’ out…) It’s important to give full attention to our hair. We need to love our hair…Take action and try new things. Learn about its uniqueness. Figure out what it likes or doesn’t like and proceed from there. It’s not easy to figure out what’s true and what’s not, the truth for her is not necessarily the truth for you. I encourage you not to be blown away by every wind of hair doctrine on YouTube, Aunty Kim with the long hair or from your homegirl Keisha.
