Sisterfriends,
“My people live in peaceable habitation, safe dwellings, and quiet resting places.” “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet {Is.32:18 & Prov. 3:24}. It’s God’s promises, two of many gems that I’m grateful they’re rooted in me. There are so many issues in life that can cause us to experience the opposite. In one of my recent meditations, I took a moment and realized that I always end up living his promises, it caused me to remember with joy and thanksgiving, my current state of affairs. It reminded me that in the midst of storms, I sleep peacefully.
Given the current times, we can wonder or even ask ”Where is God”? How could an all-powerful God allow Black lives to be so easily discarded, families, to be separated, a barrage of hurt and pain? Just like the promises I began with, there are promises of power and authority given to us as well. God doesn’t tell us to sit back and do nothing. As a matter of fact, He charges you to live fearlessly and boldly creating positive change with the power and authority given when you choose Him {Deut.31:6 & Prov 28:1}. The charge to walk in love doesn’t mean at your expense or someone else’s. You can love and fight for justice. Please understand anyone whether it’s clergymen, politicians, scholars, or mama and nem, quoting the Bible or spouting it’s God’s will, is sadly mistaken and horribly incorrect!.
It is quite evident how relying on ourselves is turning out. I find it essential to rely on Him and the authority He gave me. I, you, we can choose to live the promises of God. I embolden you. Own Your Power. Choose the Grace of God.
