Bathroom and Bedroom vanities function in different ways. In my previous article, I shared the importance of upgrading your Master Bath or only Bath, with simple changes and necessities.
The Bedroom is a whole other dynamic. The Bedroom vanity’s function is specifically for GLAMOUR AND LUXURY. It’s where you have the best task lighting you can find meaning it has to be bright and well-lit.
This luxurious vanity featured is called Hollywood Swank. High End Glam! Sumptuously upholstered in BLACK crocodile and appointed with genuine Swarovski Crystal hardware. This is GLAM par excellence and well worth it’s $2K price tag. The entire collection is designed by AICO, Michael Amini/Jane Seymour can cost as much as $8K. This piece is one of my favorites, as it brings back fond memories as one of my first big design jobs.
Design Tip #1 – In order to capture the “bling bling” look. Look for a mirrored vanity desk with a drawer and recessed LED lighting overhead or go to your local home improvement store for pendants that look like a crystal chandeliers. Purchase a minimum of two, and have them professionally installed, unless you’re handy around the house.
Design Tip #2 – A tufted bench with white faux fur to sit on will accent this black upholstered piece the best. Try a children’s/teen furniture store or department. You can have the look of luxury without the expense and the benches will be smaller and able to fit under the cabinet!
Design Tip #3 – Get decorative perfume bottles in different shapes and sizes. Small vases with floral arrangements, also vintage comb & brush and jeweled lipstick holders at Big Box home decor stores or Go on a treasure hunt. Glamorize your bedroom. You can get the WOW factor on a small budget!
